A poorly constructed business plan that does not address investor priorities will be quickly discarded, and the entrepreneur will never get the opportunity to discuss its potential with investors.

Recognising this Inkopo introduced "Beyond Business Planning". This is a mentoring service which guides entrepreneurs through a formalised yet flexible process to prepare a credible, investible business opportunity.

"Beyond Business Planning" is a modular programme because most entrepreneurs have some experience of writing a business plan. Therefore it is designed to guide entrepreneurs through a structured process that leads to a highly credible presentation of the investment opportunity.

Each entrepreneur and each business opportunity is unique. The level of support and mentoring required can vary during the planning and production of the business planning document, the subsequent search for sources of investment or the deal to be considered.

"Beyond Business Planning" includes an initial assessment of the opportunity to advise entrepreneurs andto make recommendations as to where the concentration of mentor support activity should be directed. Mentor support is available across the whole ofthe business process, but many entrepreneurs may need little support in elements in which they feel comfortable and more support in strategic aims or technical elements.

"Beyond Business Planning" leads the entrepreneur through a series of formal meetings and workshops, directing and advising them in how to write content, undertake research, define strategy and build credibility into the planning document.

We aim to ensure you can present your business from an investor's perspective. If required, a ‘Tame’ investor can provide real feedback on the credibility of the proposition before approaches are made to the external investment community.

Research has shown that this approach creates a more credible opportunity to the investor and increases the chances of attracting investment.
